Signs provide lots of clues for the observer to understand what the models represent in time and place. For example – you wouldn’t advertise cell phones on a billboard where the layout represents scenes from the 1920’s. Some other aspects of detailing structures will help the observer identify the period modeled and the purposes of the structures.
